These terms explain how quotes, appointments and work are handled by SB Home Assembly & Fittings. They are intended to keep expectations clear for both sides and do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
Quotes and minimum charge
The minimum job charge is £50. Quotes are based on the information, photographs and product details supplied by the customer. If the job is materially different on arrival, any revised price or additional work will be discussed before continuing.
Booking confirmation
Submitting the website form is a request, not a confirmed appointment. A booking is confirmed only after we have reviewed the details, agreed the expected price and confirmed the date and time with you.
Cancellations and access
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange. Where access is unavailable or a confirmed appointment is cancelled at short notice, a reasonable call-out charge may apply if this was explained when the booking was confirmed.
Products, parts and instructions
Unless agreed otherwise, the customer is responsible for supplying the complete product, correct brackets, manufacturer’s instructions and any product-specific fixings. Please check deliveries for missing or damaged parts before the appointment where possible.
Walls and working conditions
Please disclose anything known about the wall construction, hidden pipework, wiring, damp, damage or other relevant risks. We may pause or decline work where the surface, product or conditions appear unsafe or unsuitable. Any alternative approach and cost will be discussed before work continues.
Positioning
The customer should approve the proposed position, height and arrangement before holes are drilled or items are fixed. Small variations may be necessary to obtain a safe fixing or account for the wall construction.
Payment
Payment is due when the agreed work is completed unless another arrangement is confirmed in writing. The price may change only where the scope changes, information supplied was incomplete, or unforeseen conditions require additional work that you approve.
Packaging and waste
Packaging, old fittings and unwanted materials remain with the customer unless removal has been agreed in advance. The work area will be left reasonably tidy.
Problems with the work
If you believe something is wrong, contact us as soon as reasonably possible at sbhomeassembly@gmail.com and allow us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and put right any issue for which we are responsible.
